The Spanish Federation of Tourism Journalists and Writers (Fijet España) has recently awarded the La Laguna City Council the Best Spanish Destination City award, with which each year they honor the institutions and companies in the sector, valuing excellence in management and promotion of destinations, as reported yesterday by the City Council.

The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, declared that “it is a pride for this municipality to continue establishing itself as one of the favorite places for tourists who come to the Canary Islands and to obtain national awards of this nature, which reflect the great work that has been done.” carried out in recent years in this field of management.”

“Unique experience”

For her part, the Lagunera Councilor for Tourism, Leticia Villegas, wanted to congratulate all the technical staff of her department, as well as the Tourist Information Offices of the municipality and the companies in the sector for the great work they do each year “to make “to bring to the visitor the unique experience that La Laguna offers, as a heritage, cultural, gastronomic and nature destination.”

The Spanish Federation of Tourism Journalists and Writers (Fijet España) will present the La Laguna City Council with this award within the framework of the celebration of the next edition of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), which will take place in Madrid between the 24th and January 28, 2024. Fijet Spain, attached to the Fijet World World Federation, is a non-profit entity that brings together all sectors of journalistic and communication activity (press and magazines, digital media, broadcasters and radio and television producers and authors of books and tourist guides) who carry out information dissemination, analysis and projection of topics related to tourist activities and their destinations.
