The singer Sergio Dalma will perform in the two capital auditoriums in May 2024

Thirty-four years of career support the trajectory of Sergio Dalma, an essential singer on the national music scene. Just a month ago, he released his twenty-second album, Smile Because You’re in the Photo, which he will present on a tour that will take him to more than twenty Spanish cities, among which are Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Adán Martín Auditorium, May 18) and The Gran Canarian palms (Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, May 19).

The artist from Sabadell, who has more than four million copies sold in these more than thirty years full of hits that are part of the history of music in Spanish, will be presented in Canary Islands with a show in which he will review the most important topics of his career and will present the new ones that make up the recent release. All this while preserving that eighties and happy sound that characterizes it. Tickets for both concerts are on sale on the venues’ websites.

Essential interpreter for the Spanish music scene of yesterday, today and tomorrow, Sergio Dalma He is a singer who imported the best of Italian song and connected it with his particular style, without losing the freshness that already characterized him in 1989, when he began his career. In 2021, thirty years have passed since his unforgettable performance at Eurovision (1991), which, without a doubt, is his most iconic song, Bailar Pegados.

Owner of one of the most personal and recognizable voices on the musical scene in recent times, Dalma has given a truly original dimension to the song, with a style that exudes intimacy and a separate inner world, combined with a direct, dramatic, universal language. , always with the universe of great Italian songs as a reference. This is how the “Dalma style” has been forged, the style of an unmistakable artist who continues to generate successes in this new stage, which is presented with optimism and vitality with the publication of his new album, Smile because you are in the photo. Dalma launches this new release after Alegría, which obtained the Gold Record certification.

And, at 57 years old, Sergio Dalma continues to break records on the Spanish music sales charts, with catchy songs that liven up the airwaves of the main radio programs in our country. Proof of this are the twelve Dial awards that she has accumulated in her honor, and her countless performances at radio festivals in which Dalma shares the stage with new generations of national artists.

In Smile because you are in the photo, the singer-songwriter wanted to convey the vitalism and attitude that characterize him at this time in his life. To achieve this, the artist has worked with six different producers: Fernando Boix, Pablo Cebrián, Santos y Fluren, Paco Salazar, Carlos Almazán and Pablo Díez with Alex Perea. The result is an album with a fresh and certainly eighties sound, a record with which Dalma feels very comfortable, but without losing his unmistakable style.
