SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife has received the support of the Provincial Federation of Construction Entities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Fepeco) in the development of the Island Plan for Sustainable Mobility, as transmitted by the president of Fepeco, Óscar Izquierdo, in a meeting held today with the president of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila; the first vice president, Lope Afonso; and the second vice president, José Miguel Ruano.
After the meeting, Rosa Dávila thanked the support shown by the construction sector, which is “a strategic ally of the Cabildo for the promotion of the great challenges of this island, which involve the promotion of transport infrastructure, roads, ports , airports and that are planned in investments on the island”.
“For that we need the employers’ association and the construction companies to be strong, to be prepared to absorb the significant volume of investment that is going to come to the island of Tenerife,” said Dávila, who also stressed the total harmony with the employers’ association of construction to carry out active public housing construction policies.
For his part, the president of Fepeco valued the meeting: “We have been given the certainty that in Tenerife the road works that the island demands and the productive system needs will be carried out and, above all, the citizens are demanding of all of us , not only to politicians but to all social agents”.
In addition, Óscar Izquierdo pointed out that they have raised “total support” from the construction sector and the employers’ association for the Mobility Plan that the Council currently has in the period of allegations because they believe that it is “a very important document, very complete and very fruitful”, and invited the opposition in the Cabildo to join that unity: “Let us ensure that the unity to solve the structuring of the island of Tenerife is, let’s say, universal not only of politicians but also of all social agents “
