The Primary Care Management of Tenerife has proceeded to preventive closure of the La Laguna Health Center-University, located on Trinidad Avenue in the Lagunero municipality. The decision is made after having detected this Tuesday a possible movement of the settlement of the building.
Technicians from the Infrastructure unit work from first thing in the morning to assess the condition of the property.
The center will remain closed until the technical reports are available to guarantee that the safety conditions are met to continue with the activity.
Referrals to other centers and change of appointments
The non-delayable and urgent care activity scheduled for today is being transferred to the La Laguna-San Benito and La Laguna-Mercedes health centers, which have reinforcements from the staff of the Laguna-Universidad health center.
Delayable consultations are being rescheduled and patients are being notified of the change in schedule.
Users have been informed individually of the changes in the in-person consultation, while telephone consultation, laboratory and basic healthcare services are maintained.
In the case of non-urgent consultations, the activity will be rescheduled today and based on the technical decisions made regarding the operation of the building.
The Emergency activity has been coordinated with the Canary Emergency Service to refer them to health centers in the area.
