SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Metrotenerife has scheduled tram Line 1 to remain in uninterrupted service from December 31, New Year’s Eve, until January 1, New Year’s Day, offering frequencies of 15 and 20 minutes throughout the night.
As in past years, starting at 11:00 p.m. the service will arrive in Santa Cruz to the Teatro Guimerá stop to avoid driving through the areas near Plaza España and Iglesia de la Concepción, where various events are usually held to say goodbye to the year.
On New Year’s Eve, Line 1 will be operating with a frequency of 12 minutes for most of the day. Throughout the night the trams will run every 15 and 20 minutes.
From 11:00 p.m. Teatro Guimerá will be the final stop on Line 1 in Santa Cruz, so the Fundación and Intercambiador stops will be out of service.
For its part, Line 2 will be operating on the 31st with frequencies of 15 and 20 minutes until the service ends at midnight (24:00 hours).
The trams will be running all night and service will resume at the Teatro Guimerá, Fundación and Intercambiador stops in Santa Cruz at 9:30 a.m. Thus, with the restoration of circulation on the entire Line 1, the tram network will be operating on the first day of the year with the schedules and frequencies of a festive day, of 12, 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the time section.
Users can find out about the tram service on the Metrotenerife website, www.metrotenerife.com, and on its social networks, Facebook, X @tranviatenerife (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.
