The City Council of La Laguna calls for 84 positions for officials and labor personnel

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 23. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Local Government Board of the La Laguna City Council has approved a public employment offer that will make it possible to fill 84 vacant positions in the municipal workforce corresponding to the year 2023. Of the new positions offered, 63 correspond to the workforce of public officials and 21 to the of labor personnel.

Within this public employment offer, which has already been announced this Friday in the Official Gazette of the Province, 9 civil servant positions and 8 labor personnel positions will be reserved for people with disabilities.

The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, has indicated that the reinforcement of human resources is one of the commitments of the municipal government, since “by increasing the workforce we will be able to significantly improve the functioning of the local Administration, better distribute the workload among the staff and, ultimately, facilitate citizen attention and make the services provided by the City Council in the different areas more effective,” he noted.

The mayor has valued the work carried out by the entire Presidency area, with his councilor at the helm, to be able to carry out this call this year. “This is the largest call of its kind made by the Corporation in more than a decade,” said the Councilor for the Presidency, Carla Cabrera Teixeira, who explained that it was “very necessary” to carry out this public employment offer to cover the dismissals of the staff who in recent years have stopped serving at the City Council for different reasons, mostly due to retirement, without any new members.

The positions offered in the civil service staff correspond to 7 administrative staff, 23 assistants, 3 General Administration Management technicians, 15 General Administration technicians, 9 local police officers and two agricultural technical engineers, in addition to a position for an Environmental technician. social worker, industrial technical engineer and technical architect.

The work staff corresponds to the positions of a sociocultural animator, two social workers, seven security guards, two psychologists, an administrative assistant, five officials, an operator, a manager and a university graduate in Nursing.

Carla Cabrera announced the intention of the Presidency area of ​​the City Council to carry out in 2024 both the ordinary public offer and another internal promotion, as well as the merit contest for the provision by career civil servants of reserved vacant and non-vacant jobs. to civil servant personnel assigned to the General Administration.
