SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 21. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of Tenerife has allocated a total of 100,000 euros in subsidies for those projects presented by the town councils focused on establishing effective gender equality policies.
The insular director of Equality and Diversity, Patricia León, stressed the importance of this line of subsidies and aid to city councils since “they are the first line for citizens, so it is very necessary to implement projects that help promote gender equality and that they can obtain all advice and support from the Council, including economic support.
In total there are 12 projects that will receive a subsidy from the island corporation.
Specifically, it is the ‘Adding in Equality Policy’ project of the Matanza de Acentejo City Council, which will receive 4,200 euros; ‘Weaving Talents’ from the Fasnia City Council with a sum of 3,178.92 euros; the ‘Amapolas’ project of the Puerto de la Cruz City Council with 7,705 euros; ‘Wellbeing Tables’ of the Santiago del Teide City Council with 7,705 euros; ‘Tajea III’ from the Adeje City Council with a subsidy of 21,208 euros; ‘Young, Alive, Free and Safe’ from the Candelaria City Council with an amount of 7,705 euros; ‘The Chasnera Rural Woman, Achievements and Goals’ presented by the Vilaflor City Council with a sum of 4,708 euros; ‘A space of our own. Empowerment workshop for women’ of the San Miguel de Abona City Council with 7,705 euros; ‘Violet route’ of the Buenavista del Norte City Council with 4,700 euros; ‘Connecting Equality’ from the Guía de Isora City Council with 7,705 euros; ‘Alerts against Gender Violence’ presented by the La Orotava City Council for an amount of 18,772.08 euros and the ‘Caring in Equality’ project presented by the Victoria de Acentejo City Council which has an amount of 4,708 euros.
