Tecnológica Santa Cruz returns with renewed strength after the face-to-face stoppage it suffered in 2020 forced by COVID. This year, in which it celebrates its tenth anniversary, the speakers materialize outside the virtual space of the networks to offer an edition in which there will be more days, from November 9 to 14, and in which there will be five fields around to whom the different conferences and meetings will turn. The mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, and the councilor delegate of the Development Society, Alfonso Cabello, presented this morning the tenth edition, accompanied by the president of Entrepeneurs Fight Club, José Ramón Fuentes, and the director of the Innovation Factory, Eduardo Gonzalez.

The mayor defended “the continuous commitment” of Santa Cruz to attract technology-based companies to the municipality, “and Tecnólógica is the ideal forum in which to expose both local and foreign success.” “This meeting, in the ten years that it has been held, has always been at the service of employment, providing ideas in favor of the productive fabric,” added Bermúdez.

Alfonso Cabello pointed out that Tecnológica Santa Cruz “grows and adds talent” in its tenth edition, so that this year there will be news in the way of distributing the different sessions. “We started on Tuesday, November 9, with a very special meeting in La Recova, which together with the Guimerá Theater, will be the official headquarters of Tecnológica Santa Cruz.” The meeting that Cabello spoke about is the so-called Late Fight, where different guests will talk about their experiences of success but also of failure.

“The Technological presentations will take place on Wednesday and Thursday at the Guimerá, and will be divided into five themes,” explained Cabello. The first block will address emerging professions, “with presentations aimed at young people who are finishing high school or who have just started university, a very specific audience, and in which they will talk, for example, about the relationship of the art world with the new technologies”.

The second block will be focused on big data and cryptocurrencies, “a theme that has been included by popular clamor,” as noted by the delegate councilor of the Development Society. The third segment will be dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence and augmented reality, a topic in which Cabello gave as an example the work carried out by RTVC with the La Palma volcano. The fourth block will address the global connection through the so-called internet of things, “the interconnection of everything with everyone, which is what is to come,” said the councilor. The last of the blocks addresses the more traditional theme of Technology, with lectures on marketing and social media, with success stories.

Altogether, Cabello pointed out, there will be more than 20 speakers who will intervene on the days in which the meeting takes place in Santa Cruz, so that the conferences on the 10th and 11th are joined by the meetings in La Recova, where on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, TecnoCon will take place, a convention for all people who are fond of Internet Technology and culture, which under the slogan “the community event”, will have a LAN zone and various activities will be carried out such as Cosplay and KPOP (Korean Popular Music) contests.

As a novelty, it should be noted that the tickets for Tecnológica Santa Cruz and “Late Fight Tecnológica” will be independent for each day and session, they will have a symbolic price of 2 euros, which will go to people affected by the La Palma volcano, and can already be purchased through the web www.tecnologicasantacruz.com. For its part, TecnoCon will be a free activity, although it requires a deposit of 5 euros as a reservation of the place that will be returned to the user once the activity has concluded.
