A powerful haze buries Las Palmas

The second delivery of haze this week in December is burying the islands of the province of Las Palmasespecially those of The Gracious, Lanzarote and Fuerteventuraleaving in Puerto del Rosario during the day this Saturday values ​​that multiply by 20 those recommended by the World Health Organization, which estimates a maximum of 50 micrograms of PM10 particles, compared to the more than 999 micrograms recorded at six in the afternoon in the capital of Majorca.

Also significant were the wind gusts, up to 74 kilometers per hour in La Graciosa, and 71 kilometers per hour in Vallehermoso. That same wind, which has an east-southeast component, has led Aemet to activate the orange warning for this Sunday due to winds in The ironand the yellow in Gran Canaria, La Gomera and Tenerifeadding another three yellows due to coastal phenomena on the islands of La Gomera, El Hierro and Tenerife.

Once again, another episode of haze is expected, which will be more noticeable on the southern slopes, to subside in the afternoon, and clear skies with temperatures slightly decreasing.

For this Monday, the yellow warnings for winds will continue in El Hierro and Tenerife, in the latter only until the end of the morning, but another day will be repeated with a slight haze, receding as the hours progress, and temperatures with few changes, The east wind is already blowing weakly in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, while in the rest of the archipelago it will blow moderately with strong intervals.
