The Dr. Negrín university hospitals, Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, Insular- Maternal and Child and University of Canary Islandsassigned to Canarian Health Service (SCS)are among the 100 best in Spain according to the Health Reputation Monitor (MRS) corresponding to the year 2023 presented yesterday. In this way, the four hospital centers on the capital islands remain in the national ranking of the health system.
The MRS is an independent study that analyzes the reputation of the entire Spanish health system and through which the actors of all health systems have been evaluated based on three assessments: that carried out by medical professionals; the one carried out by managers, laboratory directors, nurses, hospital pharmacy managers, patient associations and journalists, and the third based on the analysis of more than 3,010 specific objective indicators of 2,912 clinical services.
In this ninth edition of the MRS, the University Hospital of Gran Canaria Dr. Negrin obtained a score of 3,924 points, which places it in 37th place, which represents an increase of 15 positions compared to last year and the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital, in Tenerifehas obtained a score of 3,580 points, remaining in 48th place, the same place it held in 2022. For its part, the Insular-Maternal and Child University Hospital Complex, in Gran Canariaachieves a total of 3,021 points in this MRS, rising from 97th place obtained in 2022 to 87th place in this edition and the Canary Islands University Hospital, in Tenerifereached 3,016 points, ranking 90th.
