The port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife once again registered the presence of four cruise ships at its facilities, with more than 3,000 passengers, the first time that occurred after the COVID-19 pandemic and the reactivation of this market. The ships that visited the port were the Mein Schiff2, with 1,520 passengers on board, the luxury cruise liner Hanseatic Inspiration, with approximately 300, and the ships of Fred.Olsen, Bolette and Borealis, which together brought 1,440 British cruise passengers in their most.
These two ships called on the first stop at the port of Santa Cruz as an integral stopover of the two voyages that began in the British ports of Dover and Liverpool, respectively, and which led them to visit, in addition to the port of Tenerife, those of San Sebastián de La Gomera and Santa Cruz de La Palma.
The Fred.Olsen Lines cruises continue to bet on La Palma as an unavoidable tourist destination despite the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano, a decision that the president of Puertos de Tenerife, Carlos González, has deeply appreciated.
