MADRID/SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Canary Islands have received 5,073 million euros in payments on account of the regional financing system, which in total has distributed 113,074 euros among the Communities, according to data from the Ministry of Finance published this Wednesday.

Last year around the same time, the Canary Islands had received 4,575 million for this concept. In the month of November 2023 alone, the region has received 461 million, compared to 416 in 2022.

Catalonia is the autonomous community that has received the most money until November 2023, with 21,317 million, compared to the 21,103 million that Andalusia has received and the 15,796 million euros from the Community of Madrid.

After Catalonia, Andalusia and Madrid are the Valencian Community (10,598 million); Galicia (7,978 million), Castilla y León (6,931 million); Castilla-La Mancha (5,377 million); Canary Islands (5,073 million); Aragon (3,887 million); Murcia (3,467 million); Extremadura (3,276 million) or Asturias (2,921 million).

In last place are La Rioja (1,059 million), Cantabria (1,962 million) and the Balearic Islands (2,261 million), which are the communities that have received the least payments on account until the month of November. Below are only the autonomous cities, Ceuta and Melilla, which have received 39 and 32 million euros so far this year, respectively.

Until November, the Ministry of Finance has delivered 113,076 million euros to the communities, 11% more than last year, when 102,003 million euros had been delivered to the territories. In the month of November, the Executive has distributed 10,280 million euros.

Payment of payments on account is made monthly, through two payments to the autonomous communities of common regime and to the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla: one at the beginning of the month and another at the end.
