Discover the exclusive list of Michelin Star restaurants in the Canary Islands

On Tuesday night, the Canary Islands added three new Michelin stars that have gone to the Haydée and Taste restaurants 1973located in The Orotava and the Hotel Villa Cortés in Playa de Las Américasand Bevir, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Thus, these three restaurants join El Rincón de Juan Carlos and MB, with two Michelin stars each one, plus Abama Kabuki, Nub, San-Hö, Tabaiba, La Aquarela, Los Guayres and Poemas By Hermanos Padrón. At the gala held in Barcelona where the 2024 guide was presented, the restaurants Mejorar (Barcelona) and Noor (Córdoba) achieved their third Michelin Star and the 13 that already had them have kept them.

The organization has highlighted the creativity found in the dishes of the Barcelona restaurant, led by chefs Mateu Casañas, Oriol Castro and Eduard Xatruch, as well as the fact that they are “at the culinary forefront.”

In his speech, Xatruch thanked, on behalf of the three of them, the support they have received from their teams and families: “From the first day we decided to be cooks, they have supported us and made us here.”

In this way, there are now thirteen establishments Canary Islands distinguished with this seal of quality and excellence.

A star

  • Tabaiba. The Gran Canarian palms. Gran Canaria.
  • Poems by Hermanos Padrón. Hotel Santa Catalyza. The Palms from Gran Canaria. Gran Canaria.
  • The water-color. Patalavaca. Gran Canaria.
  • The Guayres. Puerto de Mogan. Gran Canaria.
  • San-Ho. La Caleta, Royal Hideaway Corales Beach Hotel. Adeje. Tenerife.
  • Nub. Bahía del Duque Hotel. Adeje. Tenerife.
  • Abama Kabuki. Hitel Aba,a. Guide from Isora, Tenerife.

Two stars

  • The corner by Juan Carlos. Royal Hideaway Corales Beach Hotel. La Caleta, Adeje. Tenerife.
  • MB Abamaat the Abama Hotel, Guía de Isora, Tenerife.

Green Michelin Star

  • Muxgo. Hotel Santa Catalina, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Gran Canaria.

The Bevir restaurant is located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, on Pérez Galdós street.. It is already an establishment of recognized quality, which has to its credit a Sol Repsol and the Golden Tdistinctions to which the Michelin Star is now added.

Products from the garden and the sea, refined technique and efficient service are the ingredients of this recipe for success from Bevir, from the hand of the chef José Luis Espino and the head waiter Maria Gonzalezwho accompany the sommelier Airam de Acosta.

Espino and González have reacted upon learning of the award and consider that the Canary Islands are establishing themselves as a gastronomic destination. They predict that “more stars will come” in future editions and face their future with the conviction that they have “a long way to go.”

The other two award-winning Canarian restaurants, both in Tenerife, are located in La Orotava, the Haydée, by Víctor Suárez; and in Playa de las Américas, Taste 1973, by Diego Schattenhofer.
