José Luis Espino and María González: «The Islands are consolidated as a gastronomic destination, more stars will come»

Products from the garden and the sea, refined technique and efficient service are the ingredients of this recipe for success from Bevir, from the hand of the chef José Luis Espino and head waiter María Gonzálezwho accompany the sommelier Airam de Acosta.

Espino and González have reacted upon learning of the award and consider that the Canary Islands are establishing themselves as a gastronomic destination. They predict that “more stars will come” in future editions and face their future with the conviction that they have “a long way to go.”

The other two award-winning Canarian restaurants, both in Tenerife, are located in La Orotava, the Haydée, by Víctor Suárez; and in Playa de las Américas, Taste 1973, by Diego Schattenhofer.
