‘Saifa’, the new attraction at Siam Park, recognized as the best in the world

Siam Park received the Brass Ring Award with ‘Saifa’ as the best attraction of the year 2023. The Brass Ring Award was awarded by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) to ProSlide and Siam Park for the best water attraction of the year 2023 at the global attractions industry show in Orlando, Florida.

‘Saifa’ is the result of the collaboration between Siam Park, recognized as the best water park in the world according to TripAdvisor, and renowned water slide manufacturer, ProSlide. They have created something unprecedented for the industry: a 614 meter monument full of sensations, emotions and adrenaline in series.

Since its opening in 2008, Siam Park has always sought to surprise its visitors with attractions that other parks cannot offer. The successful team of Siam Park and ProSlide has once again demonstrated innovation and creativity with this spectacular water slide, which is also considered an aquatic roller coaster. With this attraction, they have raised the bar, setting a new standard for the industry. With more than 30 meters of slope and two slides, each more than 300 metersa route is carried out where centrifugal acceleration, changes of direction, inclined curves of up to 30%, descents and ascents propelled by pressurized water, and all this embedded in the mountainous landscape where Siam Park is located, guarantee a smile on the visitor’s face, which lasts at least until they leave the park.

‘Saifa’, which means ‘lightning’ in Thai, is a awesome slide built by ProSlide, the world’s leading manufacturer of water attractions. Rick Hunter, the owner of ProSlide, has designed this exceptional attraction together with the Kiessling family, setting new records for length, height and, above all, speed. ‘Saifa’ combines two innovative ProSlide products: the Flying Saucer and the RocketBLAST. The slide offers visitors a unique experience full of speed, adrenaline and fun. More than 600 meters long in its two lanes, the slide begins with a steep drop, followed by a series of curves that will catapult visitors upwards. This is followed by a section with powerful water injections that propel ride users through several tunnels. After an exciting ride, the slide ends with a spectacular dip into a large pool.

‘Saifa’ is one of Siam Park’s main attractions and opened this summer. Siam Park, inspired by Thai culture, features beautiful decorations and stunning greenery. Here is also the largest representation of Thai architecture outside the kingdom. Apart from ‘Saifa’, visitors can try other exciting slides such as ‘Tower of Power’, ‘Dragon’, ‘Kinnaree’ or ‘Singha’. They can also enjoy the “Wave Palace”, the largest wave pool in the world, which generates waves up to four meters high. The Water Kingdom is a place where fun and adventure are guaranteed.

The Brass Ring award is not the first that Siam Park has received. The water park has been named the best water park in the world consecutively by TripAdvisor users nine times and has been awarded the European Star Award for the best water park in Europe twelve times by Kirmes & Park Revue, the leading publication and reference in the evaluation of theme parks.
