The best routes with a beach in Candelaria

one of the great advantages of living in Tenerife is that we have good weather practically all year round. With average temperatures above 20ºC, it is not surprising that millions of people choose the Island to spend their holidays and, in fact, many choose to visit us in winter, when the thermometers here still show spring figures.

Residents are lucky to live with this good weather, something that lovers of the sea and nature take advantage of even more by enjoying our hobbies outdoors practically 365 days a year.

Enjoy a path or an urban walk They are options to explore the Island, surprising us more and more with its beauty and, on top of that, if these routes end on the beach, even better. For those looking for new trails and want to take advantage of the time with a kick, we bring you some of the best routes with a beach through Candelaria.

Hiking in Candelaria

Candelaria has a network of local trails that run through the natural environment and are complemented by all the history that is hidden in them, by the different nature and landscape ecosystems, as well as by all thats ethnographic and heritage elements that are found on each route.

In this case, we focus on the coast. On those paths that circulate in front of the sea and that invite us to take a dip while we walk.

Samarines

The Samarines trail is a coastal route of about two kilometers that connects the Plaza de la Patrona Canary Islands and the La Viuda beach plaza. The path reaches the ravine of the same name, where you descend along a path to Samarines beach. Without a doubt, this is a good stop to take a bath and continue kicking.

In addition, you can enjoy good views throughout the journey with the sea as the protagonist.

Caletillas

For the most urbanites, Candelaria It is also a good place for a walk. There are several options, you can leave the Plaza de la Patrona and reach Caletillasor leave the car in Puntalarga and enjoy a short ride along the promenade or the Rambla de los Menceyes.

Another option is to leave from the Plaza de la Patrona and get to Playa de la Viudalocated in the Industrial Estate of Guimar, but in the municipal area of ​​Candelaria. This route is around four kilometers (round trip) and is undoubtedly a good alternative to take a bath while hiking. Viuda Beach has black sand, with alternating small-grained callaos. Measures about 250 meters long and the waves are usually moderate, so swimming will depend on what the sea is like at that time.
