SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, has estimated around 60% of the items in the 2023 General State Budgets (PGE) that have already been transferred to the Canary Islands Government, which shows that “dialogue and compliance with agreements” is the way to solve the problems of the islands.
In response to a question from the Nationalist Group in the control session, he said that progress has been made in the 50 million to assist migrants and the 100 million for the reconstruction of La Palma “will arrive” and work is also being done to update the transportation costs.
Clavijo has insisted that the feelings have been “good” after the last meeting with the acting Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, since funds are guaranteed and problems are beginning to be “resolved” such as the energy or immigration emergency.
The president of the Nationalist Group, David Toledo, recalled that in September only 14% of the transfers had been received and now he has assessed that some very important transfers will be unlocked for the islands, such as funds for migration and La Palma.
In his opinion, this demonstrates the “commitment” of CC and that “when the nationalist vote counts, the Canary Islands advance”, and in the midst of a situation of “a lot of tension” in which there are two blocs “and CC is not with any” .
