The Local Police reported this Monday morning that it has proceeded to close the circulation of the descending lanes of the Rambla de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, at the height of Costa and Grijalba streets, to facilitate the work and pruning of a tree at risk of falling.

Given this circumstance, specific detours have been planned while Parks and Gardens workers work in the area.

SANTA CRUZ WILL CHECK ALL TREES

After the fall of several trees in the city, the Public Services area of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has asked the company responsible for the capital’s green areas to check the state of the different specimens, in addition to the diagnosis of a company specialized.

In addition, one of the trees that were in the well-known Las Tinajas boulevard has been cut down, after verifying that its condition did not guarantee the safety of pedestrians.

RECENT EVENTS

Among the most recent events are the fall, on July 21, of a Brachychiton populneus on Garcilaso de la Vega street, the fall, on August 30, of a flamboyant (Delonix regia) of large dimensions on Prolongación Ramón y Cajal street, and the collapses, on October 12 and 30, of two large trees on Rambla de Las Tinajas.

Daniel Bravo, who worked in the Mobility area of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, was ironic in X (former Twitter): “And another one goes. “It is a beautiful Santa Cruz.”

And another one goes. This is a beautiful Santa Cruz. https://t.co/OWSk8qkbtw
