tries to kidnap two brothers in the Canary Islands

The Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Santa Cruz de Tenerife asks a sentence of six years in prison for a woman, of Colombian nationality and in an irregular situation in Spain, for trying to kidnap two brothers in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The letter, collected by Europa Press, indicates that in the first case, the woman took advantage of the family’s oversight in a bar in the capital to grab the child and run away.

However, one of the bar employees saw the events and notified the boy’s uncle, who ran after the woman until he had a struggle with her and managed to get her to let go of the minor while insulting him and spitting.

Local Police officers went to the scene and ended up arresting the woman.

At another time, the woman again tried to kidnap the youngest son when his mother was preparing to catch the bus in the parking lots outside the interchange, to the point that she directly told her “give me the child.”

Thus, she tried to take the child by force, so there was a struggle between the accused and the mother until the three managed to flee into the exchange while the woman shouted “stay with my face.”

The two minors, details the Prosecutor’s Office, “suffered a great scare from what happened and relived with fear the traumatic experience” and the accused, after being brought to justice and psychologically evaluated, was diagnosed with an emotional instability disorder of a borderline personality. , an illness that does not prevent him from knowing the evil of his actions and acting in accordance with that knowledge.

In fact, she was discharged by the psychiatrist on duty and seven days later she repeated her behavior.

For this reason, given the seriousness of the facts and the dangerousness of the accused, the judge in the case issued an order of provisional detention without bail, a personal situation in which she currently remains.

The Prosecutor’s Office considers that the facts presented constitute two crimes of illegal detention of two minors, in an attempted degree, and also requests the prohibition of approaching less than 500 meters from the minors for a period of five years longer than the sentence imposed and that part of the penalty is expulsion from the country.

Likewise, the Prosecutor’s Office requests the payment of 3,000 euros to each of the minors as compensation.

The trial will be held next Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the sixth section of the Provincial Court.
