They are back. And they have done it in all their finery three days after the official celebration of the Day of the Deadalthough that does not mean they have stopped smiling, dancing and giving the public all their charm.

The catrinas They returned yesterday, for the second consecutive year, to the streets of the town of La Laguna, which were filled with color, music, symbols and tradition to host the parade that featured this representative figure of Mexican culture, in which great and little ones.

Entertained by the Mariachi Mencey Azteca and accompanied by the Yacambú dance group, the tour began after 11:30 a.m. in Doctor Olivera Square and continued along Herradores Street, corner of Avenida Trinidad, Obispo Rey Redondo Street, to end near the tower of La Concepción.

At the end, in the La Concepción area, there was a large stage set up for the musical festival that included the participation of Mariachi Mencey Azteca, while in the afternoon-night the special Day of the Dead ¡Toma Castaña! was celebrated, in front of the headquarters of the Consulate of Mexico, in the Plaza de la Concepción.

The initiative is part of the Day of the Dead, Night of the Dead proposal, organized by the Honorary Consulate of Mexico in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, through its Mexico-Canary Foundation, and the business association La Laguna Zona Comercial (LLZC), which It has the collaboration of the areas of Festivals, Culture and Commerce, the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA) and the University of La Laguna (ULL).

The activities began on October 18 and the last of the actions was the one held yesterday and, as expected, it once again attracted the attention of thousands of people, neighbors and visitors, who did not want to miss a most fun, colorful parade and original.
