The Minister of Employment and Education of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Efraín Medina, has recently visited the facilities of the company Guayarmina Textil, SL, to highlight the work that as a Special Employment Center is giving to the labor integration of people with disabilities in the textile sector.
The Guayarmina Textil company has a staff of approximately 70 workers, of which more than 80% have a certified disability greater than 33%.
Efraín Medina pointed out that it is necessary to “implement employment policies aimed at groups that are difficult to insert and it is important to have Tenerife companies like Guayarmina Textitl, which has that sensitivity and is committed to hiring people with disabilities.”
In this regard, Medina highlighted that the company has been certified as a Special Employment Center (SEC) since 2011, being a facilitating center for the labor integration of people with disabilities. During the tour of the facilities, the Minister of Employment and Education was accompanied by the president and commercial director of the company, Jorge Sagrera and Irene Pérez, who showed him the industrial equipment equipped with the latest technologies and the professional team that makes up the company. template.
