As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2, the event occurred minutes before 2:00 p.m., when the 1-1-2 operational room received an alert informing that three people, who were They were close to a viewpoint in the indicated area, they had been hit by the waves, two of them falling into the sea.
Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources and the rescue helicopter from the GES, Maritime Rescue, Tenerife Fire Department, a basic life support ambulance and another medical ambulance from the SUC, Civil Guard and Local Police were sent to the scene.
Upon the arrival of the first resources to the area, a woman had swam towards the open sea, separating herself from the surf zone, and a young man who was clinging to the rocks was helped by a companion from the excursion group to leave the area. out of danger and get back on the trail.
