Maritime Rescue and Civil Guard have rescued two cayucos with 324 migrants in waters near the El Hierro island during the night of this Thursday, to which are added another 225 who arrived at the Tenerife island.
In this way, the number of people arriving at Canary Islands at the end of this Thursday it amounts to 549, according to data collected from Maritime Rescue, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of 112 of the Canary Islands and the Red Cross.
The rescues of the two boats with 324 people have occurred after detecting two echoes from the Integrated Outdoor Surveillance System (SIVE)taking the Adhara sea rescuer and the Civil Guard patrol boat to the area to accompany the canoes to the La Restinga dock.
Specifically, the salvamar accompanied the canoe that was carrying 243 people, including ten minors, and the Civil Guard accompanied the one that had 81 people on board, 19 of them minors, all in good health.

Once at the La Restinga dock, in the municipality of El Pinar, the health device assisted some of the migrants from the cayuco that was carrying 243 people, since some They had hypothermia and dehydration.
Likewise, 225 migrants arrived at the Los Cristianos dock, in Arona (Tenerife), of which 48 were minors. The health device in the area had to transfer an adult male and a minor to the hospital.
