The general director of Radio ECCA Fundación Canaria, José María Segura, stressed that the Cabildo de Tenerife is a strategic ally in order to serve the vulnerable population.

Gugliotta has indicated that it is a program with two objectives: on the one hand, to bring citizens closer to citizen participation, and, on the other hand, to be a gateway to regulated training for groups of difficult insertion. It is focused on young Roma women, with low qualifications, unemployment and little digital knowledge, in order to improve their employability.

Gugliotta added in this regard that “Radio Ecca has a historical background that will allow it to achieve the goal set and will be able to contribute to the empowerment of Roma women through training actions and complementary activities.” The counselor values: «The offer of Radio Ecca with more than half a century of existence, is always open to give training that favors social and citizen participation; from the Council, we continue to bet on this institution ».

For his part, the general director of Radio Ecca Fundación Canaria has detailed the lines of action of the program, as well as the objectives and activities organized to achieve them. In this way, actions will be carried out regarding information and public awareness in terms of citizen participation through radio spots for approximately 1,100 people.

On the other hand, the Gypsy Women and Citizen Participation Days will be held for 70 female members of the group, but also for the general population. In the same way, 15 training grants will be offered to young people between 17 and 35 years old. This type of action will be carried out with continuous tutoring and accompaniment. Finally, complementary actions will be carried out, with a maximum of 120 registrations, also aimed at the group of Roma women.
