The rains continue and temperatures drop this Sunday in the Canary Islands

The rains will continue for another day in the Canary Islands while a slight drop in temperatures is expected. This has been announced by the State Meterology Agency (Aemet), which warns of weak or locally moderate rains and with showers on the islands of greater relief for this Sunday, October 22.

Likewise, it seems that the thermometers will continue to show similar figures, although the maximums may suffer a slight decrease. In addition, it is likely that there will be intervals of strong wind during the first half of the day on the southwest and northeast slopes of the most prominent islands, and on high peaks of Tenerife and The Palm at the end of the day wind.

Regarding the state of the sea, it announces wind from the west and southwest of force 4 or 5, locally 6 and 7, although it will change to the northwest of force 4 to 6, swell increasing to strong swell, and on the east, southeast and north coast of the western islands, variable strength 1 to 3 and rippled or swell.

Northwest swells are expected with waves of 1 to 2 meters increasing to 4 to 6 meters and showers.

Cloudy skies, tending towards cloudy intervals in the northwest and slightly cloudy skies on the southeast slope starting in the morning. Rains, generally weak, are expected in the early hours of the morning without being ruled out on the northwest slope at the end of the day. Maximum temperatures without changes and with a slight increase in minimum temperatures. Moderate southwest wind, with strong intervals in the extreme northwest and turning to moderate northwest during the early morning, with probable strong intervals in the area of Would do. At the end of the day it decreases slowly.

TENERIFE

Cloudy skies tending to cloudy intervals in the southwest and in the extreme northeast during the central hours of the day. Generally weak and intermittent precipitation that can be locally moderate and in the form of a shower, mainly during the morning in the north and in the afternoon also on the southeastern slope. Maximum temperatures in slight to moderate decrease, more pronounced in the midlands and summits, and minimum temperatures with few changes, with some slight rise. Generally weak wind from the northwest with moderate to strong intervals during the first half of the day on the southwest slope and with probable very strong intervals on summits and in the area of ​​La Esperanza and south of the Metropolitan Area. It is not ruled out that at high peaks there may also be some gusts at the end of the day.

Generally cloudy skies with some clear openings on the southern slope. Generally weak precipitation that could be locally moderate, more likely in the northern half. Light wind from the north, increasing to moderate in extreme east and west.

Cloudy skies tending to cloudy intervals in the south during the afternoon. Generally weak and intermittent precipitation that can be locally moderate and occasionally in the form of a shower, during the early morning in the northwest and from midday on the eastern slope. Minimum temperatures with few changes or in a slight decrease, and maximum temperatures in a slight decrease. Generally weak wind from the northwest, more intense on the southwest slope and extreme northeast during the first half of the day, when there may be some strong intervals. On high peaks, strong intervals during the early morning and at the end of the day.
