The Cabildo of Tenerife will reopen this Wednesday the TF-652 roundabout as it passes through Guargacho

The Cabildo of Tenerife will open to traffic this Wednesday the new roundabout on the island road TF-652as it passes through Guargacho, in the municipalities of San Miguel de Abona and Arona.

The road, which connects Las Chafiras with Las Galletas and gives access to Costa del Silencio, Las Rosas, Guargacho and Oroteanda Baja, has had a budget of half a million euros.

In a statement, the Minister of Highways, Dámaso Arteaga, explained that with the opening to traffic of the new roundabout access to the industrial zone will be facilitated, and he recalled that the new infrastructure will be a strategic element that improves mobility and traffic safety conditions.

According to the institution, the work will conclude in January and will continue with the placement of new public lighting, as well as new barriers, and the improvement of sidewalks and pedestrian traffic.

The Cabildo of Tenerife has recalled that the improvement works on the TF-652 and TF-653 roads continue.

In the first case, the works will consist of the partial elimination and replacement of the pavement and improvement of road safety with the widening of the shoulder around kilometer point 5.35 (La Estrella).

For the TF-653 (Guargacho-Palm-Mar), in addition to the improvement of the pavement, the institution adds that the widening of the shoulders and the installation of metal safety barriers will be carried out, given the risk of accident with the road exiting towards a significant gap.

Dámaso Arteaga has indicated that the works on the Palm-Mar section are carried out through traffic light regulation, which is why he has asked road users for patience until the work is completed.
