Forecast for this Monday

The Aemet forecast for this Monday is similar to that of the weekend, with maximum temperatures above 34 degrees in Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, The Gracious and Lanzaroteand in the west, south and east of Tenerife and La Gomera. In this sense, 34 degrees will be reached in much of the Archipelago, except in high areas and eastern coasts, and the minimum temperatures will barely drop below 24 or 25 degrees. The suspended dust will decrease over the eastern islands at the end of the day.

On the other hand, there will be cloudy intervals of medium and high clouds, tending to slightly cloudy skies on the islands of Tenerife, La Gomera, El Hierro and The Palm. The wind will be from the east to southeast, occasionally strong in the eastern province and in Tenerife, and weak in the westernmost islands.

Next days

For Tuesday, the Aemet predicts similar values, exceeding 34 degrees and a slight haze that will only affect the province of Las Palmas. The drop in temperatures will begin, slowly, on Wednesday.

It should be remembered that all the islands remain in a situation of pre-alert for high temperatures and haze. Furthermore, the Government of the Canary Islands maintains the declaration of fire risk alert for El Hierro, La Gomera at altitudes above 400 meters, La Palma, Tenerife and Gran Canaria, also at altitudes above 400 meters.
