SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
This Friday, the Canary Islands registered the arrival of ten cayucos with a total of 844 migrants on board, all of sub-Saharan origin, Maritime Rescue sources inform Europa Press.
The last three have reached the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
In the case of the first, the boat was detected by the SIVE eight miles from Punta de Rasca and the Salvamar Alpheratz set out to meet it, which escorted it to the port of Los Cristianos with 119 migrants of sub-Saharan origin.
Likewise, Salvamar Macondo intervened in the rescue of two other canoes in waters near Gran Canaria after being detected about five miles from Maspalomas, one with 51 people and another with 46 – 44 men and two women -, and being derived to the Arguineguín dock.
