SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 65-year-old man has died after being rescued from the sea with signs of drowning on the Montaña Amarilla beach, in the municipality of Arona, in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2 .
The event occurred shortly before two in the afternoon, when the 1-1-2 operational room received an alert requesting medical assistance for a person who had been pulled from the sea by bathers with signs of drowning and who was was unconscious.
The Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources to intervene in the area and a medicalized ambulance from the SUC, a doctor and a nurse from the area’s Health Center, Local Police and the Civil Guard went to the scene.
While the activated SUC and Primary Care medical teams moved from the Coordinating Center, the bathers began to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers on the affected person and, under the instructions of the SUC health coordinators present in the operating room, they continued until arrival. of the medical team that performed advanced maneuvers on him, although they were unsuccessful and confirmed his death.
The Local Police collaborated by transporting the medical team from the Health Center to the scene of the incident. Police officers were in charge of the corresponding procedures.
