Puerto de la Cruz’s Grande beach closed to bathing after alterations in biological parameters were detected



The Puerto de la Cruz City Council has temporarily closed the bathroom on Playa Grande in Playa Jardín because alterations in biological parameters have been observed.

The municipal council has indicated in a statement that Castillo and Charcón beaches remain open to swimming.

He adds that in one of the ordinary sample collections that are carried out punctually on all the beaches of the municipality and that are analyzed at the General Directorate of Public Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, alterations in the biological parameters have been observed that recommend that, Provisionally and as a precautionary measure, swimming is not allowed on the aforementioned beaches.

This Wednesday new analyzes will be carried out that will be evaluated for the reopening of the beach if the parameters return to normal.
