More than a hundred people participated this Saturday, September 16, in the Solidarity March for Women organized by the Breast Cancer Association of Tenerife (Ámate), the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) and the Candelaria City Council.
The pink tide, which aims to make breast cancer visible and promote physical exercise and healthy living habits, traveled the distance between the Plaza del CIT and the Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias.
The march was led by the accidental mayor of Candelaria, Francisco Pinto; the Councilor for Health, Olivia Pérez; and the president of Ámate, María del Carmen Bonfante. The City Council and Ámate appreciate the involvement of citizens in this solidarity and awareness-raising activity.
