SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cabildo of Tenerife will allocate 1.2 million euros to help families meet the costs of nursery schools aimed at children from 0 to 3 years old based on a credit modification that can be approved at the ordinary plenary session in September.

President Rosa Dávila, who visited the La Escuelita Children’s Center this Friday accompanied by the Minister of Employment and Education, Efraín Medina, pointed out that “it is essential to be able to provide support to fathers and mothers who have children and want to go out to work, with a ‘daycare voucher’, and they need to reconcile their family and work life and unfortunately, the increase in prices is preventing many parents from making the decision to be able to take their sons and daughters to nursery schools.

In his opinion, “the majority of nurseries in Tenerife are private and we want parents to have the freedom and accessibility – closeness to their homes, grandparents, closeness to work – to be able to take their children. and daughters.”

Thus, he believes that this financial aid “can be an option, together with the Government of the Canary Islands and nursery schools, to expand this offer to boys and girls and, above all, so that fathers and mothers can better reconcile family life. and work”.

Along these lines, he points out that work is being done from the Education area to reach an agreement with nursery schools.

“We have to enhance the capacity that private nursery schools have so that agreements can be reached with the Cabildo so that with a check we can cover expenses and encourage fathers and mothers to bring their children to these services so that they can go out to work. and reconcile their family life,” he says.
