SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 4 (EUROPA PRESS) –

A canoe with 65 migrants of sub-Saharan origin on board has been rescued in the early hours of this Monday by Maritime Rescue personnel when they were sailing in waters south of Tenerife, sources from 112 Canarias and the Red Cross report.

The emergency services were notified by the boat’s own crew and the Salvamar Menkalinan met them and towed it to the port of Los Cristianos, in the municipality of Arona.

There were 45 adults and 20 alleged minors traveling on the boat and after the health care provided by members of the SUC (Canary Emergency Service) and the Red Cross, no transfer to a health center was ordered.
