Antequera Beach (Igueste de San Andrés)

Knowing Antequera is discovering one of the most hidden beaches in Tenerife. You can only reach it through a difficult-to-access path or by sea. It is worth visiting so you can enjoy the extraordinary landscape next to the cliff of the Anaga massif merging with the rock that gives its name to the beach.

The best option to get there are boat excursions that depart from Santa Cruz and the town of San Andrés. Access through the trail is quite complicated and requires good physical condition and experience.

The beach is very fine gray sand and The ideal is to find it at low tide, since at high tide it is usually completely covered by the waves. Nudism is usually practiced.

Garañona Beach (El Sauzal)

If you go to La Garañona beach it is also worth a visit to the La Garañona Viewpoint, which is located in the center of El Sauzal and has very good signage to get there from the urban center. You will find views of the cliffs of the Acentejo coast and Garañona beach. You have a bar-cafeteria and terrace service so you can appreciate the spectacular views.

La Garañona beach has black volcanic sand and to access it you must do so through Mesa del Mar, a town that has spectacular natural pools. It is worth going to Garañona beach to enjoy its beautiful landscape.

Los Patos Beach (La Orotava)

Black volcanic sand is found in La Orotava, between the beaches of Bolullo and Ancón. Access is not easy. From the northern highway you have to take the TF-176 exit towards El Rincón and park at the end of the road, next to a bus stop. From there you have to walk about 30 minutes to the beach.

Once you reach this paradise of jet-colored sand and crystal-clear waters, the enjoyment of solitude and silence along with views of the cliff is a treasure that no one will want to part with. It is Eden in Tenerife.

Almáciga Beach (Santa Cruz de Tenerife)

Almáciga falls in love with those who like surfing and wild nature. It is one of the three beaches of Taganana, a charming town that preserves its traditions almost intact. Located just below the hamlet that gives it its name, it is next to Roque de las Bodegas and Benijo, one of the most beautiful beaches in the northeast area of ​​Tenerife.

Located at the foot of the Anaga massif, you can watch the rugged cliff submerge into the sea while the strong waves break against the Roques de Anaga.

Almáciga is a black sand beach of volcanic origin and you should be careful with the waves because they are usually quite strong throughout the year. It is ideal for surfing. Several Tenerife surf schools train there.

Las Arenas Beach (Candelaria)

In the town of Candelaria, in the northeast of the island of Tenerife, is this black volcanic sand beach with areas of gravel and callaos. It is about 75 meters long and 20 meters wide.

Along the coast there are also the beaches of La Arenita and Punta Larga. Near these coasts is the sculptural group of the Menceyes, a tribute to the Guanches, ancient settlers of Tenerife linked to the Virgin of Candelaria, patron saint of Tenerife.

Nea Beach (El Rosario)

It is considered as one of the best beaches in the municipality of El Rosario. It has a length of almost 300 meters and is made of black sand bordered by vegetation. The mountain behind, its light, its clean waters and even its breakwater to make bathing safer are a great focus of attraction for locals and tourists staying in Santa Cruz de Tenerife due to its proximity to it.

The renovation project has increased the attractiveness of Nea Beach and its surroundings to spend the day. Showers, parking, walkways, toilets, a kiosk-bar and even a playground for children to play are some of its facilities.

La Tejita Beach (Granadilla de Abona)

It is one of the longest beaches (one kilometer) in Tenerife. It is located in the coastal center of El Médano. The nudist area is located in a small cove at the foot of La Montaña Roja. Furthermore, this beach is located near the town of Los Abrigosfamous for having several restaurants where you can taste good fresh fish and seafood.

Benijo Beach (Santa Cruz de Tenerife)

Even if you go accompanied and there are other bathers, the solitude and serenity that Benijo beach provides in an environment of great beauty turns it into a reference for alternative bathrooms in Tenerife. Located in the Anaga Rural Park, in the northeast of the island, this enclave becomes the unbeatable end of a road that crosses part of a place with laurel forest, spectacular views of the Atlantic and a massif of difficult terrain, with ravines and worthy peaks. of continuous photos.

From Santa Cruz de Tenerife, you have to head north to the town of San Andrés and, from there, drive along the road that leads to the small town of Taganana to continue along the coast to Benijo beach.

El Bollullo Beach (La Orotava)

The Bollullo is one of the favorite beaches of Tenerife residents. It has a charm that captivates everyone who visits it from the first moment. Located in the municipality of La Orotava, it has black sand and volcanic rocks.

The beach, with a length of 200 meters, is ideal to disconnect any time of the year in the middle of nature. The waves are usually frequent, making it suitable for surfing. Of course, precautions should be taken when you bathe.

Access to the beach is quite limited. You can get there walking from Puerto de la Cruz in a 45-minute journey or from the El Bollullo restaurant (in the El Rincón area), through a stepped path of a few minutes.

Diego Hernández Beach (Adeje)

With golden sand and turquoise waters, Diego Hernández beach is especially attractive for those looking to relax in a quiet and wild environment. With an extension of about 80 meters long, and barely 25 meters wide, it is advisable to visit this beach at low tide, since when the tide rises there is hardly any space left on the sand.

Getting to Diego Hernández beach requires some effort, since it cannot be reached by car and you have to walk some distance. The easiest route is usually to access it via the path that begins next to an elevated walkway in the vicinity of the Golf Costa de Adeje complex.
