The Cabildo de Tenerife has limited the circulation of waste trucks that transit both the TF-5 and the TF-1 in such a way that 60 trips per week will be suppressed during the time slot between 05:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. .
This measure is already operational in the case of the TF-5 and will come into effect starting next Monday on the TF-1 and its objective is to contribute to the relief of road traffic, especially after 07:00, when the level congestion is more pronounced.
In the case of TF-5 transport, the usual route is from the transfer plant located in the municipality of La Orotava to the Tenerife Environmental Complex in Arico, while, in the case of the Southern Highway, the trucks They cover the route between the municipality of Arona and the complex.
The Minister of Mobility of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Eulalia García explains in a note that the restriction on the circulation of trucks will not affect or entail any reduction in the service provided to town councils and residents.
“It should be noted that the Cabildo is leading the process in which short, medium and long-term measures will be implemented to alleviate and solve traffic problems.
