Emergency works on the TF-24, as it passes through El Rosario, given the high danger of subsidence

The Cabildo de Tenerife has urgently awarded the drainage of the TF-24, as it passes through El Rosario, due to the danger of subsidence. The technical reports of the institution have advised to act “immediately” in view of the danger it poses to users and has awarded the works on the road to replace the cross drainage of the island highway TF-24, in the PP.KK. 7+300, in the municipality of El Rosario.

The work has a budget of more than 300,000 euros and the deadline for completion is six months.

The insular Minister of Roads, Dámaso Arteaga, explained that during the cleaning work carried out last July by maintenance workers, the deterioration of the tube and its collapse was observed, so that it is necessary to replace it to ensure road stability and traffic safety.

The planned works will consist of the replacement of the tube, the cleaning and clearing of the area, the demolition of the existing pavement and the replacement of sidewalks, walls and curbs.

The work will be carried out during daylight hours, so a detour for traffic will be enabled until the work is completed.
