SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has awarded three contracts for the improvement and rehabilitation of three roads, located in the south and north of the island, for a global amount of 6.4 million euros and in the municipalities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Laguna and Arona.
Thus, the TF-12 road will be conditioned between kilometer points 9+460 to 28+670 with a budget of 4 million euros and an execution period of one year.
This road runs through the northeast of the island between the municipalities of Santa Cruz and La Laguna, offering service to the population of the Anaga Massif.
The objective of the work is to condition the road to improve security measures, details the Cabildo in a note.
On the other hand, the actions in Arona will be carried out on the TF-652 between points 4+300 and 6+000 and on the TF-653 between points 0+000 and 3+100, in the Guargacho and La Estrella area. , respectively.
In the first case, the investment is 1.4 million euros, while the work on the TF-653 has an item of approximately 982,000 euros.
Both highways support a high level of traffic on a daily basis, which is why it is necessary to rehabilitate and pave the pavement of the platforms, as well as improve the drainage elements of the roads, and the works have a four-month execution period.
The insular Minister of Roads, Dámaso Arteaga, highlighted the importance of the work to condition the pavement of the roads since they are interventions “highly anticipated by users” and with them, shows “the commitment and the important effort by the Cabildo de Tenerife for the improvement of these roads, which in some cases had been tired for a long time”.
In the same way, Arteaga indicated that the start of the works is scheduled for the last quarter of this year.
