The company in charge of maintaining the Aguamansa Canal, in the North of Tenerifeproceeded on Wednesday to repair two new incidents that were registered in the water channeling that serves 136,000 inhabitants, mostly in the metropolitan area of the Island.
The sources consulted specified that on Wednesday there was a break in the Pino Alto area, as a result of a landslide that took place behind the La Atalaya viewpoint. The rapid intervention of the Francisco Rodríguez company allowed the supply service to return to normal. It was not the only incident that these plumbers from the mountain attended to, since their participation was also necessary to solve a clogging that affected the area known as the Los Helechos ravine.
The Ramos family that makes up the company that is in charge of maintenance thus restored normality to the Aguamansa Canal, after the El Rosario City Council on Wednesday decreed the alert situation due to problems in the infrastructures that provide service. The government team led by Escolástico Gil even set up two points for drinking water.
Yesterday, the work team in charge of maintaining the Aguamansa Canal continued the inspection of the entire infrastructure, from Santa Úrsula to La Victoria, to verify that it is in optimal condition or to proceed with the improvement intervention if so it was accurate. From El Rosario, it was also alerted on Wednesday that the Río Portezuelo Canal – whose maintenance does not correspond to the company Francisco Rodríguez – suffered a breakdown, which forced the application of restrictions on the service.
