the fire of Tenerifeoriginated in the municipality of Arafo, still out of control and to the evicted of the last days two more zones are added, but in this case in the Guimar municipality. This has been reported by the city council itself on its social networks, where it has published an evacuation notice for the inhabitants of the areas of Las Dehesas and Los Pelados.

In the absence of the latest data, which is expected to be issued tonight, it is expected that the flames have burned more than 3,200 hectares in the municipalities of Arafo, Candelaria, Santa Úrsula, La Victoria de Acentejo, El Rosario, La Orotava, El Sauzal, Tacoronte and La Matanza (municipalities confirmed in the last balance).

Official data also indicates that there are 6,180 people directly affected at this time, of which 4,509 have been evacuated and 1,671 confinedalthough the figure should vary after this new evacuation.

Water supply

The Güímar City Council and the company responsible for managing the municipal water service, Aqualia, have also warned this Friday afternoon of the need to make responsible use of supply water, due to the forest fire.

Given the scarcity of water resources due to the increase in consumption that is taking place to help in the firefighting tasks, and in order to avoid possible restrictions in the supply of drinking water, its use will be limited exclusively to cover the needs primaries.
