Creativity and ingenuity come together at the Verbena de la Pamela de Tejina

weaving experienced one of the most anticipated days of its festive calendar: the Vervain of the Pamela. Creativity, ingenuity, music and fun are combined in this event, framed in the program of festivities of San Bartoloméone of the most massive and popular, and to which thousands of people from the different centers of the municipality and Tenerife.

For the fourth year, the San Bartolomé Festival Commission decided to keep this festival on August 15, coinciding with the festival of candlemas.

The Plaza de la Iglesia was once again the nucleus of the celebration, which was enlivened by the Grupo Guaydil and the Dorada Band. At that point, from noon, groups of friends and families began to gather who wore the most daring, original and colorful hats, designed especially for the occasion, although there were many people, especially the youngest, who opted for the classic straw hat that was also useful to protect themselves from the sun. Music and fun lasted until night in the Plaza de El Ramal with Dj Winner and Dj Jesu Rodríguez.

The festivities will last until September 3 and include a wide variety of recreational, sporting, religious and cultural events. Music band competitions, martial arts galas, processions, concerts and the bicycle festival, among others.

But without a doubt, one of the most anticipated moments for all the tejineros will take place on Sunday August 28 with the entrance of the hearts to the Church square, a manifestation of popular culture that mixes the festival with religious fervor and that elements of ethnographic and anthropological value.
