The beaches of Arona and La Tejita, with a red flag due to the strong waves

The strong waves make it necessary to place the red flag on the beaches of La Tejita, Granadilla de Abona, and on the coast of Aronawhere only Las Vistas and Los Cristianos remain partially open to the bathroom.

“We have been pending since early and we have been in Las Galletas to verify that everything is controlled, together with our Local Police, Carreteras de councilcleaning services and Coastal lifeguard and security servicewhom I want to thank for their speed and work”, added Lemes.

For her part, Clari Pérez, first deputy mayor and councilor for the Environment, Sustainability and Public Services, highlighted that “we have almost all the beaches in red flag for strong waves and currents“.

The only point that yellow flag is the left of the Vistas and right part of the Christianswhich has a yellow flag and is suitable for bathing, added Pérez before concluding that “the Local Police, Cabildo Highways, our cleaning services and the lifeguard service and Litoral security are prepared in case there is a rise in the sea again ”.
