SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Minister of the Presidency, Public Administrations, Justice and Security of the Government of the Canary Islands, Nieves Lady Barreto, has opted this Thursday during the inauguration of new positions in her department to simplify administrative procedures in this legislature.
Barreto, who had words of gratitude for the “important work” carried out by the officials and other staff of the Ministry, marked the simplification of administrative procedures as one of the priority objectives of this legislature, ensuring that it must become “doctrines”. from day to day, “removing bureaucracy from the citizens”.
Another of the challenges that it marked is the modernization of the Justice Administration and its infrastructures, as well as the need to consolidate mediation as an alternative dispute resolution mechanism, as reported by the regional government in a press release.
In relation to security, the counselor advanced that she will work to “focus on the increase in the number of members of the Canary Islands Police Force and its presence on all” the islands, as well as completing the pending task of coordinating the Local Police.
Barreto also referred to the challenge assumed by the Vice Ministry of Economic and Social Recovery of La Palma, stating that it is necessary to “heal the wounds of an island damaged by nature, which needs attention” from the hearts. He added that the objective is that, at the end of this legislature, the vice-ministry “has fulfilled its mission and is no longer necessary.”
Finally, he stressed that “you have to work for eight different realities”, for which reason he considered that “you should not” “forget that there is no globality that is worth without locality that is useful”.
The new positions of the Ministry of the Presidency that have taken office this Thursday, waiting for the General Director of Public Function, Francisco Javier Rodríguez del Castillo, to do so next week, are Víctor Chinea Mendoza as Vice Minister of Relations with Parliament; Antonio Llorens de la Cruz as Deputy Minister of Public Administrations and Transparency; and Cesáreo Rodríguez as Deputy Minister of Justice.
Likewise, Pedro Ángel Afonso has taken office as Deputy Minister of Economic Recovery of La Palma; Carmen Delia Alberto as general director of Transparency and Citizen Participation; Francisco Javier Rodríguez del Castillo as general director of Public Function; Juana María Reyes as General Director of Modernization and Quality of Public Services; and Francisco José Ledesma de Taoro as General Director of Relations with the Administration of Justice.
David del Pino Franquet, for his part, has taken office as General Director of Security; and Pino de León Hernández as director of the Canarian Institute of Public Administration.
