SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Aug. 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de La Gomera has reported that this Friday, August 4, is the deadline to request aid for the primary sector, whose applications can be made through the General Registry and Electronic Office.
This line of incentives aims to promote revitalization and intensify the commitment to economic diversification, by initially injecting 400,000 euros to cover the demands of farmers, ranchers, fishermen, beekeepers, guaraperos, viticulturists, communities of irrigators and fishermen’s associations.
This call incorporates the new bases approved last April, and which includes the improvements proposed by professionals in the sector. In this way, new eligible elements are incorporated, as well as an increase in amounts in some of them.
The aids are divided into three groups. On the one hand, those aimed at farms and agricultural and livestock industries; those for the professional fishing sector; and those provided for agricultural or livestock associations, wine producers, irrigation communities and fishermen’s associations.
As regards farms and agricultural and livestock industries, the self-employed professionals linked to them will receive a discount of 90% of the amount of their contributions, while for employed workers, the percentage reaches 50% of their contributions. In addition, expenses such as motorized cultivators, brushcutters, motorized sprayers, motor sprayers, and mechanical shredders, as well as localized irrigation facilities and irrigation pumps, together with the acquisition or repair of irrigation water tanks, will be covered.
It also deals with the acquisition of fencing and protection material, both for the wind and for wildlife, as well as machinery and containers. In this line, the purchase of stainless machinery and containers for wineries and other agricultural industries is added.
In the same way, machinery whose destination is the transformation and commercialization of agricultural or livestock products, such as isothermals, is attended to. The new bases also set expenses for the purchase of boxes of beehives, maintenance of livestock and expenses per area for the cultivation of fodder intended for cattle feed.
The fishing sector has incentives for the payment of Social Security contributions in 90% of their contributions for the self-employed and, for employed workers, 50% of their contributions. Coverage is given to the purchase of isotherms, acquisition of engines, electronic, technical or communications equipment, to which are added training courses and expenses for grounding, up to 90% and with cost limits depending on the length.
As for agricultural and livestock associations, wine producers, irrigation communities and fishermen’s associations, subsidizing up to 50% of operating expenses, without in any case exceeding 15,000 euros.
