SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –

During this school year, the Cabildo de Tenerife has developed various co-creation projects together with the educational community through the Museum of History and Anthropology in which more than 800 students from 32 classrooms have participated, from Infant to Secondary, from different centers throughout the Island.

The Minister of Culture and Museums, José Carlos Acha, pointed out that the Museum of History and Anthropology of Tenerife closes this school year “with a reflection on the co-creation projects carried out, which aim to promote the museum’s commitment to the community and the active participation of students in the generation of new forms of knowledge and learning, promoting a deeper understanding of our cultural heritage at the hands of students and teachers”.

Acha pointed out that the objective of this initiative “is for the educational community to see in the museum a transformative educational resource, thanks to collaborative work, to bring all the museum activity closer to society, making the citizens part of it”.

The projects that have been developed during the 2022-2023 school year have addressed different topics such as heritage recovery, collective memory, initiatives related to museum education, as well as intergenerational experiences.
