The until now Councilor for the Santa Cruz Treasury, before he was Councilor for Economic Promotion and Festivals, leaves the City Council at the hands of the new President of the Government, Fernando Clavijo. The still mayor will assume the powers as Vice Minister of the Presidency, a position that will allow the capital to have a direct voice in the Government of the Canary Islands.

This has been one of the first decisions that slipped yesterday after the inauguration of Clavijo as president of the Government of the Canary Islands in the autonomous Parliament, a name, that of Cabello, to which, this Monday, the first appointments in the different ministries, when the corresponding decrees begin to be signed.

Cabello’s position within CC in recent years has been gaining weight, since his appointment three years ago as Executive Secretary of National Communication, which has allowed him to be present in the design of many of the party’s strategies.
