New traffic diversions are coming in the municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna. The remodeling work on the Padre Anchieta roundabout is ongoing, and this will cause changes to the TF-24. The Council of Tenerife will carry out the construction work of the pedestrian walkway that will be located in that areaso the Wednesday the 12th and Thursday the 13th the TF-24 road from La Esperanza will suffer detours in its direction towards the roundabout, a point where the queues pile up at certain times.
Between the 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. the aforementioned deviation will occur. This will take vehicles with the intention of accessing the Padre Anchieta roundabout via the TF-265, the road to The wastelands. For their part, those vehicles that want to access the TF-5 will have the motorway access branch enabled, which was recently opened after its construction.
This occurs because it is necessary to carry out different excavation works necessary to complete the work of the pedestrian walkway, so the right lane that connects La Esperanza with the Padre Anchieta roundabout will be cut off. Summer arrives and the works intensify with the aim that, with the return to schools and the arrival of September, the work on this roundabout can be as advanced as possible.
A regular point of traffic congestion
The Padre Anchieta roundabout has become a place where queues are common, as up to seven vehicle entrances and exits are joined in the same roundabout. This means that in peak traffic hours the influx of vehicles be higher than you can bear. This is the main purpose of the works around this place, to improve the quality of traffic in this area.
