SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 9 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Last night, more than 13,000 people enjoyed the closing concert of the Isla Bonita Love Festival, an event held in the Port of Tazacorte in which international artists such as Juan Luis Guerra, Ana Torroja and Quevedo participated, as well as local talents such as NIA and Jesse Chacon.
During the event, which was organized by the Cabildo de La Palma through the public company Sodepal and was made possible thanks to the work of more than 500 people and a hundred companies, the schedules were strictly adhered to and there was no knowledge of any incident.
From the Island Institution, in coordination with the municipalities of Los Llanos de Aridane, El Paso, Tazacorte and Breña Alta, a device was coordinated to facilitate transfers to and from the concert, enabling parking bags for attendees, reinforcing transport lines regularly and establishing special routes for the return with shuttle buses.
In this way, the final touch was given to a new edition of the macro-concert, which in turn puts the icing on the cake for a week of activities included in the Love social programme. An agenda that has made it possible to address, from different perspectives, the need to be tolerant and respect sexual and gender diversity.
In this sense, it is worth noting the reading of a manifesto in favor of the LGTBIQ+ collective, which was given by the singer Agoney. An action that preceded the play ‘Vaga y Maleante’, by the artist Kiki Morgan. Already on Wednesday, the Plaza de España in Los Llanos de Aridane hosted the performance of one of the best ABBA tributes, under the title ‘The New Experience’.
Thursday was the turn of the fourth edition of the conference ‘Challenges for Justice in the field of Equality’, organized by the Association of Legal, Labour, Economic and Social Professionals with the collaboration of the Cabildo de La Palma. In them, with the moderation of the lawyer and member of the entity Jordi Pérez Camacho, the lawyer, graduated in Labor Relations and university expert in Gender Violence, Patricia Martín Tovar, and the activist, graduated in Law, spoke about future goals in this area. and promoter of the Trans Marcos Ventura Armas Law.
The streets of the capital of La Palma were also protagonists of the Social Week of the Isla Bonita Love Festival. Not surprisingly, the Santa Cruz de La Palma Heritage technician Víctor Correa led a tour of different areas of the city with LGTBIQ+ history, unraveling some of the lesser-known episodes.
As for the day before the macro-concert, on Friday, Café Don Manuel, located in Casa Cabrera, Santa Cruz, hosted a monologue by actress and comedian Patricia Galván.
