The local government coordinates with the 14 educational centers of the municipality

The new Councilor for Education of Los Realejos, José David Cabrera (PP), held meetings in recent days with the management teams of the eight public centers for Early Childhood and Primary Education in the town and with their counterparts in the four public centers for Secondary Education, vocational training and Baccalaureate. It is anticipated that the next week the round of meetings ends with the entire royal educational community prior to the start of the new school year, with their meeting with the two concerted centers of the town.

«I have introduced myself to directors, directors or representatives of management teams of the different public centers in order to make myself available for the next academic year 2023-2024 and continue in this coordinated work from the transversality of different municipal areas, not only the educational one, especially that of Children with that common project Niñ@landia”, according to José David Cabrera.

Contacts will continue throughout the course through the area councilors and school councils

The mayor highlights that “in any case, throughout the course you are in permanent contact. In fact, as the City Council and through area councillors, we are part of the school councils of each center”, he pointed out.

The eight public schools in the municipality that teach the Infant and Primary cycles are CEIP Palo Blanco, CEIP Mencey Bentor, CEIP Pérez Zamora, CEIP San Sebastián, CEIP Agustín Espinosa, CEIP La Montañeta, CEIP Toscal Longuera and CEO La Pared. The Councilor for Education told them that “the reform, conditioning and improvement works, previously agreed with representatives of the centers themselves and already contracted by the City Council, in which we invested 339,742 euros this year, will begin to be carried out next week”. In the case of public Secondary schools, training cycles and Baccalaureate, there are four: CEO La Pared in Icod el Alto, and on the other, the three institutes, IES Realejos, IES Mencey Bencomo and IES Cruz Santa. The meetings with the concerted schools Nazaret and Pureza de María remain pending.
