A boat with 157 immigrants on board, two of them women and 155 men, has arrived this Tuesday at the port of Los Cristianosin the municipality of Arona, in the south of TenerifeRed Cross sources have reported.
The vessel was located by means of the Integrated Exterior Surveillance System (SIVE) when it was about 8 miles from the Punta Rasca area, and the Salvamar Alpheratz came out to meet it, Maritime Rescue sources have indicated.
The Salvamar Alpheratz accompanied the boat to port of the Christians, who arrived at around 4:00 p.m., sources from the Emergency and Security Coordination Center 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands.
