SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Parliament of the Canary Islands hosts this Tuesday, starting at 11:00 a.m., the solemn opening of the XI Legislature that brings together a total of seven groups, PSOE, CC, PP, NC-BC, VOX, ASG and AHI under the president of the people’s deputy Astrid Pérez.
The session will start with an inaugural speech by the president and later there will be a musical performance by the Kanart quartet, the hymns of the Canary Islands and Spain will be performed and finally a family photo will be taken in the courtyard of the Chamber.
The new Chamber that emerged from the last regional elections is more equal than the previous one, with 37 deputies and 33 deputies and approximately half of the seats repeat in the Chamber and the rest are new or return after dedicating themselves to other activities.
The PSOE is the majority group with 23 seats followed by CC (20), PP (15), NC-BC (5), VOX (4), ASG (3) and AHI (1) and the Parliamentary Table, with Pérez as president, it is made up of Ana Oramas (CC) as first vice president, Gustavo Matos (PSOE), second vice president, Mario Cabrera (CC), first secretary, and Patricia Hernández, second secretary.
After the solemn opening of the legislature, next week, specifically on July 11 and 12, the investiture debate will be held that the Presidency of the Canary Islands will give to the nationalist Fernando Clavijo thanks to a government pact signed together with PP, ASG and THERE.
